Right Beside You!

Right Beside You!

We all worry on different things in life. It’s impossible to find anyone without any worry. One or the other way everyone worries about something. The causes of worries are different and the weightage of worries are different but everyone thinks there reason to worry is the most important thing in life. Even though it’s partially true things are not always like that. It’s been said for an ant it’s the weight of a rice grain but to an elephant it’s the weight of a huge timber! See the difference for an elephant the weight of ant- the rice grain- is nothing but for the ant rice grain is heavy and timber is impossible. Thus lies the difference of weightage of problems. But whatever it is understand one thing God will never allow you to carry more than what you can afford. He watches over you and protects you. When you go through the troubles He won’t leave you alone but He is right beside you keeping an eye in every step you make and lifting you wherever and whenever you are falling!

Why do we face tests? In James 1:12 says Blessed is the man who faces trials in his life. The troubles on life comes not to kill you but to make you strong and better person, like someone who goes to gym for weight training. He’s lifts the weights knowing it’s going to hurt him but he becomes stronger and better as he lifts the weights. The same way in order to make your inner man strong and better it’s needed to go through tests in life. The later part of the verse says there is a reward for those who go through trials in life.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 NIV)

Many a times we don’t see God’s hands in the time of troubles and we think God’s left me in the midst of trouble but the truth is anyone who you depend your best friends, family and anyone whom you love and trust may leave you but God will never leave you alone. For it’s a promise what God given us- “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5 NIV). “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”(John 14:18 NIV)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 NIV). Similarly there are hundreds of promises in different parts of Bible telling us not worry for God is with us. Psalms 46:1 says- God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NIV)

Let me turn your attention to a very familiar portion in Mathew 14:22-33. The same event is mentioned again in Mark 6:45-56, John 6:16-21. Here we see Jesus asks his 12 disciples to go ahead of Him to the other shore of Sea of Galilee and Jesus went on top of the mountain to pray. It was already evening when they left and in the night while they were sailing there happened to have a big storm in the middle of the sea out of nowhere. Even though most of the disciples were fishermen they couldn’t control the boat as the storm was out of their hands. They were terrified and thought they were going to die. They lost all there hopes as Jesus was not with them, it was the middle of the night and nobody was there to help and above all they were in the middle of the sea. Fear filled them and they might have even thought doesn’t God see any of this? We left our livelihood and followed Jesus and is He now leaving us to die in the middle of the sea? They would have thought God left them else why is this happening? But out of no in the middle of the raging sea when all hopes have gone there comes Jesus walking on the water! Jesus comes closer to the disciples. They got more afraid as they never seen anyone walking on water and thought it could be the angels of death and cried more but Jesus comes closer and reveals them He is Jesus and not to be afraid of and He commands the storm to calm down and the raging storms calmed down! Then Jesus joined them and they reached the other shore safely.

See the disciples thought they were alone and God left them and lost all hopes to live. But Jesus who already knew all this is to happen was praying for them on top of mountain and when they lost all hopes Jesus went to them and delivered them out of there troubles. This helped them to believe more in Jesus as they understood Jesus is more powerful than the sea and storm as He walked over the sea and calmed the raging storms.

This is the same that happens to us in our daily lives. When we face troubles we think there is no one to help us and we loose all out hopes and even think God even left us but the truth is God is right beside you ready to deliver you all you need is submit yourself to God and walk with Him. He will deliver you from all troubles.

Remember in the sermon on the mountain Jesus reassured the crowd not to worry on anything as God takes care of you more than you take care of yourself. In Mathew 6:25-34 He draws different examples and proves God cares more than we do. God asks us why are we worrying about what to eat and drink? Look at the birds in the skies, they don’t sow nor reap or store in barns but God provides them food. Are we not valuable than birds? Then why do we have to worry about food and water? Again Jesus asks why to worry on cloths? The Lotus flower is one beautiful flower and the wisest man King Solomon in all his glory and splendor never dressed more beautiful than the Lotus flower and for a flower which blossom today and die tomorrow was made so beautiful how much more will God care for you? Then why do we need to worry on what to wear. All we need is to seek His kingdom and righteousness and everything is given to us. Therefore don’t worry about anything as you walk hard paths in life. Put your faith in God and move forward He is right beside you. He will guide you and help you to come out of your troubles. Let everyone you depend leave you do not worry the one who created you is right with you and is able to deliver out from all your problems if you trust him. Like how a parent holds the hand of kid and walk with him God holds your hands and help you overcome your troubles. May God Bless You!

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” (Isaiah 49:15, 16 NIV)
